Carmel and Martin set up this family busines 18 years ago when Carmel opted to work from home while rearing their six children. Everyone in the family became involved and have stayed involved over the years. Even now the “adult children ” take time when home to talk to guests and advise them on the best attractions in the area.
Carmel is a qualified tourism marketing specialist and has travelled extensively promoting Connemara with the local Connemara Tourism organisation and Ireland West and has gained a wealth of information on what the discerning tourist wants . She is always available to give guests the virtual tour of the region- either on arrival or after cooking you a typical large Irish breakfast before departure.

Martin is a small farmer who loves to share his knowledge of farming and farm-related issues with interested guests. Several excited guests have shared his new calf births for the first and possibly the only time in their lives!

Ocean Villa has a total of 6 bedrooms- 4 doubles, 1 twin and 1 triple or family en-suite.
All rooms are equipped with tea/ coffee facilities and hairdryers, toiletries., and TV in all rooms.
Irons and trouser press, electric blankets .. All beds are fully orthopaedic.
Our lounge/tv room is large and comfortable with sea and mountain views and a large open turf fire. Our sun -lounge is also large, overlooking the sea . Here you can experience the tranquility of an idyllic rural location!
